Holiday Cooking Classes 2017

 



  Classes are limited to 8 students.


  Your class fee includes: Approx. 3 hours of instruction and hands-on cooking, 

followed by sitting down, eating and discussing the delicious foods you’ve prepared, beverages

and a lot of fun. You’ll go home with a packet of recipes and in-depth culinary

instruction so you can re-create these fantastic dishes at home.



  Location: Classes are held in a commercial-style kitchen at a private residence,

conveniently located off Elks Rd, 1 mile from Lowe’s Home Store.

Directions are e-mailed upon paid registration.



  Registration: To reserve your space pre-payment is required.

You may pay by check (or) secure credit card through PayPal.

You do not need to have a PayPal account to use this method of payment.

You may also pay by personal check. Please call (575) 571-0577 to make arrangements.


If you have received a cooking class gift certificate, please call or e-mail to reserve your space.



  If you need to cancel: You will need to notify us 7 days in advance for a full refund.

Class fee will be refunded by the same method of payment.

Cancellation notification 6 days or less: you may gift your class to friend or family member.



  If we need to cancel: We reserve the right to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment.

Class fee will be refunded by the same method of payment.

If you reserved your spot using a Gift Certificate, it will be applied toward a future class.



  Gift certificates can also be purchased for a specific dollar amount

and recipient may have their choice of class/es subject to availability.

This year, grab a friend and do all your holiday baking in our kitchen.

There is nothing more efficient (and fun) than several, very well organizer cooks, in a large kitchen

armed with the finest ingredients and all the tools they need to produce delicious and plentiful results.

And the best part.....you go home to a clean kitchen.

The Incredible “All Day” Holiday Baking Class

Saturday, December 16 (1o:30 to 4:30 ish pm) -  $62


What are the holidays without an array of beautiful, delicious cookies, bars and candies to offer your guests and family? Please join me for this jam-packed, fun-filled holiday baking class. It’s a cooking class AND your holiday baking all rolled into one.


We’ll start at 10:30 to go over the days recipes & special instructions then make all the cookie dough. At about 1:00 we will break for lunch (included in the fee), then resume baking the recipes and adding finishing touches to all your yummy holiday baked goods.


At the conclusion of the class, all goodies will be divided evenly between students to take home and enjoy. Each student needs to bring many air-tight plastic, containers with matching lids to transport and store your holiday baked goods. You will take home “dozens” of cookies so come prepared with lots of containers. You’ll still have time to ship your delicious, holiday baking to appreciative family and friends, if desired.

Lattice-top Apple Pie

Creamy Chicken Pot Pie w Herb Crust (eaten in class)

Last year the Saturday class sold out very quickly and a private class was added Sunday.

Perfect Holiday Pies & Pastry ~ A make, take & bake class

Saturday, November 18 (1:00 to 4:00 p.m) -  $52


It’s said that one of the three tests of a great cook is perfect, flaky pie crust. This will be one notch you can add to your culinary belt when you join me for this pastry technique class. You will learn hand’s-on, traditional and food-processor pastry methods for perfect, flaky pie & pastry crust. I will demonstrate “blind baking” used when making tarts or single crust pies like lemon meringue. I will prepare an incredible Creamy Chicken Pot Pie w Herb Crust to be eaten during class. You’ll never buy Marie Callender again!


Each student will bring 2 (8 or 9”) pie pans to class in which to prepare two fabulous pies of your choice (Lattice-apple, Pecan or Pumpkin) to take home and bake that day, or I will give you instructions how to freeze and bake your pies over the holiday season.
